SOLUTION: Coordinated efforts with LSOC to process/sign-off Engineering Change Request (ECR) packages. Before each ECR could be processed, it had to match the following criteria: The cover page had a sign-off list of each department that was involved in the change, the ECR listed the software build and shuttle launch, the ECR contained the cost approval level. Software Quality Control had the final approval to insure the ECR contained the proper approval, software build, and Shuttle launch. Once the software ECR was approved, Software Quality Control would load the software build tape in the firing room.
